How it works

How does an air conditioner work?

Air conditioning is a proven, reliable eco-friendly technology.

An air conditioner works along the same principle as a refrigerator. A cooling fluid is passed through a closed circuit. It absorbs heat (calories) in a room and expels them outside.
In winter, by inverting the operating cycle, the air conditioner collects the calories outside and transfers the heat indoors. It can “draw” calories from the outside in temperatures as low as -15°C. This is the principle of a heat pump, which is a real heating system, as powerful as a traditional heating system yet much more economical.
